Revisiting Python

March 10, 2010

Many years ago, I started trying to learn Python.  Within an hour, I switched to Ruby.  After two days of essentially rewriting Perl scripts in Ruby, I stuck with Perl.

That’s coming back to haunt me now.  The tools I need to use are all in Python.  Lucky for me, it’s never too late.

  1. hah, all the junk I need is in perl, thankfully Python hasn’t caught up there so I don’t have to feel bad about my love for Ruby! Good luck with the snake.

  2. If there was a decent PCSC interface in Perl that worked with something like RFIDIOt or anything else that spoke to MIFARE cards fluently, I’d be on it.

Now I have to *shudder* learn something.
